Splits Help

Hi everyone! I'm really sorry I haven't posted in a while. Recently, we had a splits test for ballet, and I had to get both right and left front splits, also known as the girl splits. Here are some tips I got both online and offline to get your splits.

1. Do lunges on each leg. So, right foot in front, and then left in front.

2. Put some socks on, find a wooden (or slippery floor) and go down as far as you can in your splits and hold for 2 minutes each day. Switch legs.

3. If you need a couple more inches or centimeters left in your splits, try the oversplits. Stack 3 or more pillows on top of each other or use something about 18 cm high. Next, put your front leg on the object that is 18 cm high. Do your splits. It's okay if your back leg can't go all the way down. After your over splits, try doing your splits. You'll see you have gotten farther. They're both examples of oversplits, but I suggest doing the top one.

4. Go against a wall with your feet touching the wall. Have someone lift your leg up until you can really feel the pain. Have them hold it there for 30 seconds.

This should help! The over splits work really well for getting the last few inches for your splits. Legs feeling sore? Take a hot shower or stretch in the sun.

First Position

Hi everyone! As you may know, I do ballet. There is a movie coming out in theaters called First Position about girls and boys who are really amazing in ballet (they are pretty young). I don't think I'll ever be able to do what they do! I think you should check out the trailer. It looks amazing! I have the trailer right here:

I hope you enjoy the trailer!

Dance Pictures W/ Dance Quotes

Here are some dance pictures I found on the internet. I found famous quotes and put them on the pictures, so I put the words on there, but the pictures were found on the internet. Here they are:

Anne of Green Gables

Anne of Green Gables

I am reading Anne of Green Gables and it's a really good book, so I suggest that you should try reading it! It's kind of boring in the 1st few pages, but it'll get exciting and better. I'm almost done with the book, and I'll give you a complete summary (will have a lot of spoilers, so if you want to read the book, don't check out the summary). There's also an old 1985 movie about the book, and I would like to see it, although I don't know if it was good or not. It probably was, since the book is, although sometimes movies ruin the books because they can turn out to be bad. I have some pictures from the movie below.

Hershey's Chocolate Milk Commercial

I made a commercial for Hershey's Chocolate Milk on iMovie. It's supposed to be like a little kid who loves Hershey's Chocolate Milk.  Here it is:

Sorry! You might hear music that is not part of the video! That's my playlist. So, before you click the video, scroll down, find my playlist at the right side and click pause.

Hunger Games

Hi everybody! I'd first like to thank everyone who has been commenting lately. I've never gotten so many comments before!

Next, is the Hunger Games! It's a book series consisting of 3 books. I am on Mockingjay, which is the 3rd book. I already know what happens (the big parts of the book), because some annoying person in my grade told me without my permission. The Hunger Games is about a girl, named Katniss, who fights for her survival in an arena along with many other people. That is the main idea of the 1st book, but more happens in the 2nd and 3rd books. I choose not to tell you because it'll be a spoiler alert. Also, I wanted to  ask which one you like better (if you read the books you'll know) GALE or PEETA? I know what happens in all the books, but I personally love GALE! Who do you like? Comment and tell me!

Bulls Loss Against 76'ers

          VS.
Did you see the Bulls game last night? If you are a Bulls fan, you would know that the 76'ers had 1 more game won than the Bulls. I'd like to first name all the things that I liked during the game. I liked how Omer Asik tried his hardest, and actually played better than most people playing in the game. He got many rebounds and played defense well. He also scored some points. Taj Gibson was playing well, also. Richard Hamilton was also putting some points in. Luol Deng was playing well, too. Joakim Noah came to watch and was always cheering.

These are things that I didn't like. First of all, TOM THIBODEAU is the one to blame for their loss! CJ Watson was playing horribly, taking too much time to score when he has so much space and room, Omer Asik was clearly tired, and you didn't change them, TOM! I think he deserves Horrible Coaching of the Game Award 2012. In the last 7 seconds or so, Omer Asik got fouled, because of CJ Watson's bad playing. (Why do you pass it to someone who isn't good at scoring points?) And Asik is not exactly the best at free throws, so of course, in the game's last seconds, we are only winning by 1, Asik misses both of them. Again Tom's fault, because Asik was really tired. So, the 76'ers run down and get fouled, BY ASIK! Nobody went to guard the ball, they just ran backwards trying to stop it when actually takes the shot. Again, 1 of CJ Watson's mishaps, along with Omer Asik's.

The MVP's of the game were definitely Asik for a tiny bit, and Gibson, for many dunks and points scored.

Coldplay + 100th Post!

Hi guys!

For my 100th Post, I would like to get the highest number of page views and comments. I never get comments, but maybe I can get some now (hint, hint). My Mom and I really love the band Coldplay, and these are our favorite Coldplay songs: Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall, Princess of China, and Clocks.

My 100th Post is very short, but I hope you enjoy Coldplay's songs!

My Blogger Button

Hey guys! I have a blogger button! I tried to make it have a grab box, which means you can copy the code underneath and paste the button. Unfortunately, after many minutes of trying, I am not as computer savvy as the woman and men who have blogs. I recently went on a woman's blog and read her tutorial on how to make one with a grab box. I was close, but what she wrote was a tiny bit unreadable and worded differently. She is American of course, but I'm not as smart as her. It would be very sad if I was! So, my blog button is just to admire at. Feel free to copy the button if you can, 'cause I haven't tested everything out yet. So to the right is where it stands. You'd think I would put a ballerina, but I love volleyball, and I decided to change it up a bit. A ballerina would go well together with my theme, but why not switch it up?

Thanks!
